Privacy Statement

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with data protection regulations.

Order processing in our online shop and customer account

We process our customers‘ data within the framework of order processing in our online shop, to enable the selection and ordering of our products and services, as well as the payment, delivery, and completion of the order.

For these purposes we process inventory data, communication data, contract data, payment data. The data subjects in this case are our customers, interested parties, and other business partners. The processing takes place so that we can fulfill our contractual obligations for accounting, distribution, and customer service. We may use session cookies to store the contents of your shopping cart, and permanent cookies to store your login status.

The data processing is carried out in order to fulfill our services and implement contractual measures (art. 6 par. 1 letter b GDPR) and insofar as it is prescribed by law (art. 6 para. 1 letter c GDPR; e.g. for trade and tax purposes). We only disclose data to third parties within the scope of delivery, payment, or within the scope of statutory permits and obligations, and also on the basis of our legitimate interests (art. 6 para. 1 letter f GDPR; e.g. to legal consultants or tax consultants, financial institutions, freight companies, and authorities).

Users must create an account before they can place an order. What information is mandatory is provided to the users upon registration. The user accounts are not public. If users delete their account, their data will also be deleted unless further storage is necessary on the basis of commercial or tax reasons. Information in the customer account will remain stored until the account is deleted or until the account is archived (if we are legally obliged to do so, or we have a legitimate interest to do so, such as in the case of legal disputes). It is the user’s responsibility to secure their data before end of contract.

When using our online services we store the IP address as well as the time of the respective user action. The storage is based on our legitimate interests to protect against misuse and other unauthorized use. This data is not passed on to third parties unless it is necessary as a legitimate interest to pursue our legal claims, or unless a legal obligations to do so exists.

Data deletion takes place after expiry of statutory warranty and other contractual rights and obligations (e.g. payment claims or performance obligations from contracts with customers); in case of storage due to statutory archiving obligations, the deletion takes place after their expiry.

Contact Form

If you send us enquiries using the contact form, we will store your data from the enquiry processing form and any data in the event of follow-up questions.

Mandatory fields are marked accordingly. Filling in mandatory fields is necessary so that we can answer and process your enquiries. All other information is voluntary.

Processing the data entered in the contact form takes place exclusively on the basis of your consent (art. 6 para. 1 letter a GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. A revocation is only valid for the future.

We will not transfer your data to third parties without your consent or another legal basis.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request we delete it, revoke your consent to its storage or until the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.

Cookies

The webpages use cookies to some extent. They serve to make our webpage more user-friendly, more effective, and safer. Cookies are small text files which your browser stores on your computer.

The cookies we use are „session cookies“. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your end device for longer, or until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize your browser during your next visit.

You can adjust the settings on your browser so that you are informed of the use of cookies, and only allow cookies on a case-by-case basis, only accept cookies in certain cases, or generally exclude them and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated the functionality of this website may be affected.

Cookies, that are necessary for the execution of the electronic communication process or for the provision of certain functions which you want (e.g. shopping cart) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para 1 letter f GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of our services.  Insofar as other cookies (e.g. cookies for analysing your surfing behaviour) are stored, these are explained separately in the privacy statement.

Server Log Files

The website provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are mainly:

- browser type and browser version

- operating system used

- referrer URL (origin address)

- hostname of the accessing computer

- date and time of the server request

- IP address

This data will not be merged with other data sources.

The data processing is based on art. 6 para. 1 letter f GDPR, which permits the processing of data on the basis of legitimate interests. In this case, there is a justified interest in a secure and problem-free operation of the web server. In order to ensure this, the administration must be able to recognise and trace attacks and malfunctions of the system via the server log files. In order to recognize attack patterns, access to the web server must be stored. As soon as this data is no longer needed, it is deleted. For technical reasons, the data is disclosed to the hosting service provider, who is, however, bound by directives and contract with us.

Google Web Fonts

Our website uses so-called web fonts, which are provided by Google, to uniformly display certain fonts. When you visit our page, your browser downloads the required fonts directly from Google in order to display them correctly on your device. Your browser establishes a connection to Google's servers in the USA. This allows Google to know that your IP address has been used to access our website.

Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield. The Privacy Shield is an agreement between the United States and the European Union designed to ensure compliance with European data protection standards.

The use of Google web fonts is necessary to ensure a consistent look and feel on our website. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of art. 6 para. 1 letter f GDPR.

Further information on Google Web Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google's privacy policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy.

Google Analytics

These websites use Google analytics, a web-based analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google“). Information on your use of the website, including browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL (page previously visited), IP address, and date/time of the request is collected.

Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookies about your use of these web pages is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Because IP anonymisation is activated on these web pages, your IP address is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or the EEA (European Economic Area) and only transmitted anonymously. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. This transmission is based on the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Agreement.

On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website and internet use to the website operator.

Our legitimate interest in data processing also lies in these purposes. The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is art. 6 para. 1 letter f GDPR. The data sent by us and linked to cookies, user IDs or advertising IDs are automatically deleted after 14 months. Data whose retention period have been reached are automatically deleted once a month.

You can refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.

Additionally, you can prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookies relating to your use of the websites (including your IP address) as well as prevent Google from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link. The link is: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Alternatively, in individual cases you can prevent Google Analytics from collecting data by clicking on the following link. This sets an opt-out cookie that prevents your data from being collected in the future when you visit this website: <a href= "javascript:gaOptout(); alert('You have successfully deactivated Google Analytics');">Deactivate Google Analytics</a>.

Google Maps

This website uses Google Maps and its API to display interactive maps and to create directions. Google Maps is a map service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, California 94043, USA. When you use Google Maps, information about how you use this website, including your IP address and any (start) address you enter as part of the route planner function, is transmitted to Google in the United States.

If you use one of our websites that contains Google Maps, your browser establishes a direct connection with Google's servers. The map content is transmitted from Google directly to your browser and integrated into the website by it. We therefore have no influence over the extent of the data collected in this way by Google. According to our best knowledge, this is at least the following data:

  • • the date and time of the visit to the website in question,
  • • Internet address or URL of the website accessed,
  • • IP address,
  • • (Start) address entered during route planning.

We have no influence over the further processing and use of the data by Google and can therefore assume no responsibility for this. Google guarantees, however, through certification in accordance with the EU-U.S.-Privacy-Shield, that the data protection regulations of the EU are also observed when processing data in the USA.

The legal basis for data processing by Google Maps is article 6 para. letter f GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in optimizing the functionality of our website.

If you do not want Google to collect, process or use your data via our website, you can deactivate JavaScript in your browser settings. In this case, however, you cannot use the map display.

The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Google as well as your rights in this regard and setting options to protect your privacy can be found in Google's data protection information: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en
